While demand for Food Bank services is continuously growing, supplies are getting sparse. We're in desperate need of tinned soups, pasta, meats, fish, fruit, and vegetables. Donations can be delivered to our SPANL Office at 472 Logy Bay Road from 9am-4:30pm.

There's never been a better time to register for SESP! The deadline to register has been extended, while the start date of the program has been changed to September 25th. Visit spanl.ca/sesp to learn more about the program.

Shoutout to one of our awesome new community partners, the Baie Verte Peninsula Family Resource Program! 🎒 With their support, we've been able to distribute backpacks to single-parent families in need throughout the Baie Verte area.

The SPANL team sends a heartfelt goodbye to Nick Brake and Breanna Chafe as they return to school. ❤️ These two have done an AMAZING job working with the Food Bank and coordinating our Back to School Program!

Thanks to this donation from our awesome friends at @CNLOPB (who happen to be regular volunteers at SPANL!) we'll be able to provide lots of nutritious recess bags to local students in need. We're so appreciative of C-NLOPB's ongoing commitment and support!

As we celebrate Labour Day, we'd like to share a reminder that our office will be closed today. Backpack pickups and calls for food bank appointments can be made on Tuesday, when regular 9:00-4:30 operations will resume.

There are only a few days left until the new school year begins, so make sure to get your backpacks if you haven't already! 🎒 Local parents who've registered for Back to School can pick up their backpacks up at the SPANL Office from 9:00 - 4:30 PM on Tuesday, September 5th.

PAL Airlines is helping us take our Back to School Program to new heights by transporting backpacks to the West Coast! ✈️ We're so thankful for this important partnership as we continue distributing backpacks across the province.
