@TOFIEmusic i am familiar with my headphones and how well-mixed audio sounds through them. if my mix sounds good, then it is good
for me most mixing mistakes are due to me simply forgetting how to make music for the first 80% of the process, every single time

I do not mix on “monitors.” I DO NOT “car test” my masters. I make music in my HEADPHONES. And if I find out later that my song’s mix does not sound good when listening on speakers, then I REGRET IT FOREVER.

Oneshot got around this by making the console version exist within a virtual desktop from the beginning, so the file shenanigans and ending sequence were still possible to execute in a way that emulated the original desktop experience. wonder if Deltarune will have the same issue

fascinated by how toby has to (+ of course wants to) accommodate the experience for console players, but this is also his one chance to execute his exact vision for something that he’ll have been building up to for like 15 years, in a meta way potentially only possible on desktop

Spotify and Universal Music Group have announced a licensing deal that will let Spotify Premium users create AI-generated covers and remixes of songs from participating artists and songwriters. The upcoming tool will launch as a paid add-on and is designed to let artists and songwriters earn money from licensed fan-made AI covers and remixes. Spotify says the model is built around “consent, credit, and compensation.”

@apollotweethart in producer/DJ circles + the greater LA scene he was definitely gaining huge traction but you don’t enter the cultural zeitgeist through that alone, the memeability of the sample + people’s reactions to the track being either “awesome” or “total trash” propelled it into ubiquity

"YES! OH MY GOD!" is basically synonymous with the rise of dubstep as a whole in america, and the resulting influence on pop music for a few years after. i can name few if any other pre-drop samples that have the same kind of juice, aside from "BANGARANG (BASS)"
