My main stage look is based on David Bowie, I know that was the 70s, but there was an influence in the 80s too, with lots of glamorous hair and makeup.

Sounds a lot like my experience too, noticing what my sister was up to, and watching movies and TV. I liked to dress up like the glam rock singers of the era, and I still do that.

yeah, the new adventures of flash gordon was on tv, my sister was obsessed with the music video of total eclipse of the heart, return of the jedi was making numbers and changing lives… man, the 80s were something else.
