Nottingham's Sheriff, Rushcliffe's Mayor and MP were on the Council House Steps on 25 Nov. morning. All gave a short interview to local TV and helped decorate the lions with scarves knitted by Soroptimist members. Handknitted flowers and info. were handed out to onlookers

Nottingham Soroptimists Perdita, Lynda and Barbara joined Audrey today for a knit and natter. They took balls of orange wool to knit parts of the scarf to decorate the lions outside the council house. Lots of tea and smiles for our #orangenottingham project!…clickety click! 🧶

On Friday a group of Soroptimists, a 'Soropti-mister' and volunteers from Nottinghamshire tree planters (not all pictured) braved the rain to finally plant the last ground covering plants on our Miyawaki forest consisting of wild garlic, comfrey, foxgloves, clover and more.

Two sunny weekends, and on FarmEco, Screveton run by David, with help from consultant Rachel Nottingham Soroptimists planted over 400 trees forming a micro Miyawaki forest. The Mayor of Rushcliffe Council, unveiled the plaque celebrating 100 years of worldwide Soroptimism #SIGBI

Well done to some of our members and friends who braved the freezing temperatures to volunteer to plant including fruiting plants & oak trees at the Farm Eco site on 30th December. They had a real challenge, along with all the other volunteers, as the ground was frozen!
