We are honored to welcome Ms. Serah Malaba, Co-CEO of @tikoafrica, to the #RHNKPanAfricanConference2026. As Tiko joins this year’s conference as a sponsor, Ms. Serah brings perspective from leading youth-centered, data-driven and demand-led approaches that are helping young people across Africa access SRHR services and information in more responsive and innovative ways. Her experience working across multiple African countries on issues linked to the triple threat adds important insight to this year’s Pan-African conversations on youth agency, systems change and sustainable SRHR solutions. At a time when Africa is navigating shifting funding landscapes, increasing pressure on health systems and growing demand for integrated youth-centered approaches, conversations grounded in practical experience, innovation and cross-country learning are more important than ever. We look forward to the perspectives, lessons and conversations she will bring to the conference! 13 days to go!

As we count down to the #RHNKPanAfricanConference2026, here’s a question for everyone joining us: What conversation, experience, idea or challenge are YOU bringing into the room? Because this conference is not built on presentations alone. It is built on lived realities. On hard questions. On shared experiences from across Africa. And on people willing to speak honestly about what young people actually need. Every delegate comes into the room carrying something: an idea, a solution, a challenge, a story, a perspective that could shift the conversation forward. And that is what makes this platform powerful. In a few days, Mombasa becomes the meeting point for those conversations. See you there! #RHNKPanAfricanConference2026

Between 4th–8th May 2026, @rhnkorg delegation, led by Executive Director Ms. @nellymunyasia, convened a five-day Health Happens Here (HHH) Kenya Programme Design Workshop in partnership with @RutgersNL, @ICRWAfrica and other stakeholders. The workshop brought together partners and stakeholders to collaboratively shape the HHH Kenya Programme through the development of a contextualized Theory of Change, strategic priorities, research agenda, and draft 2026 workplan. Discussions focused on strengthening meaningful youth engagement, gender-transformative programming, advocacy, innovation, sustainability, and evidence-informed implementation within the Kenyan SRHR context. Throughout the week, participants identified key programme priorities, implementation gaps, research needs, and opportunities for collaboration and systems strengthening. The workshop concluded with commitments to refine the workplan, logframe, budget, and research agenda ahead of implementation. The closing session was officiated by Dr. Johnstone Kuya from the @NLinKenya, who commended the collaborative efforts and emphasized the importance of partnerships and evidence-driven approaches in strengthening healthcare systems and advancing Universal Health Coverage in Kenya. #RHNKImpact #RHNK4SRHR

We are in Banjul, The Gambia, for the NGO Forum taking place alongside the 87th Ordinary Session of the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights. Today, our Executive Director, Ms. @nellymunyasia of @rhnkorg, will speak at the panel discussion Defending Rights in Hostile Contexts from 9:05–10:05 AM GMT(12.05-1.05PM EAT) At a time when sexual and reproductive health and rights across Africa continue to face increasing attacks, shrinking civic space, misinformation, stigma and organized anti-rights movements, this conversation brings together human rights leaders, legal experts and frontline advocates to reflect on what it means to defend rights in increasingly difficult environments. Moderated by Hon. Commissioner Janet Ramatoulie Sallah-Njie, the panel also features Dr. Jessica Oga of @afyanahakiug and Halimatou Dibba from the National Human Rights Commission of The Gambia, Rapporteur IPPF/OHCHR. The discussion will explore the realities facing SRHR defenders and healthcare providers across the continent, while also highlighting the power of solidarity, resilience, and regional human rights mechanisms in protecting and advancing SRHR in Africa. RHNK is honoured to contribute to this important conversation and to be part of a growing platform that continues to amplify African voices, strengthen collective action and defend the dignity, rights and health of communities across Africa. #ngosforum #acdhrs

This week, we proudly celebrate the dedication, compassion and life-saving work of midwives across Kenya and around the world. Midwives are at the heart of maternal and newborn health providing essential care before, during and after childbirth. Their role goes beyond clinical care; they are educators, advocates and trusted companions to women and families during some of life’s most critical moments. At @rhnkorg, we recognize the invaluable contribution of midwives in advancing respectful maternity care, improving health outcomes and strengthening our health systems. Their commitment continues to save lives and ensure that every woman has access to safe, dignified, and quality care. We reaffirm our commitment to supporting midwives through continued investment, training, and creating enabling environments where they can thrive and deliver their best. 👏🏽 Thank you to all #midwives for your unwavering service and impact. You are truly the backbone of maternal and newborn health. #IDM2026 #RHNKImpact #RHNK4SRHR

We are excited to have @tikoafrica in the room as a sponsor of the #RHNKPanAfricanConference2026. @tikoafrica is also showing up as a partner in the work, bringing real experience in using innovative, demand-driven approaches to connect young people to SRHR services. At the RHNK Pan-African #AYSRHR Scientific Conference, this is important. Because beyond the conversations, we need to understand: • what actually helps young people access services • what makes solutions work at scale • and how we design systems that respond to real needs Tiko’s approach brings practical insights that participants can learn from, question and apply in their own contexts. If you are coming to the conference, this is the kind of perspective that adds real value to the room. Are you registered yet? Register here: rhnk.org/conference/reg… #RHNKPanAfricanConference2026
