There is an old man my far neighbour, he can't see clearly but he always goes out to places.
Many keke riders know him because they help him drop at his desired location.
Last week I bumped into him in UBA bank.
I was about to leave and I met him standing stranded in front of the bank
I exchanged pleasantries with him
"Daddy good afternoon,what are you doing here?"
He replied " I just finished with the bank and I want to cross the road but the security man I'm waiting for, hasn't come out. I've been waiting for him for over 10 minutes."
I knew the security man wouldn't come out. So I offered to cross with him
I asked if I could hold his hands and walk with him, he smiled and willingly stretched his hands to mine,and I held him. When we got to the main road, it was a whole lot.
Busses and traveling cars were speeding like flashlights.
This old man cannot see and he walk very slowly. I thought to myself how I can cross with him when these cars are racing.
So I stopped a bike man and asked him to cross the old man to the other side. And the bike man did it Willingly.
But when the old man was climbing the bike he said "my daughter, I don't know you,I can't see you, but the God in heaven that sees you, will lift you up and your life will be blessed"
When he got to the other side, I watched him enter keke that will take him home.
That's the kinda prayer I crave when I see an old person.
This story is one of many I have done for old people. I respect them with all my heart.
So only a m@d person will mock or disregard an aged person.
We will all get old someday. What goes around, comes around.
Nobody should mock any aged person.

All I’m saying is this would be the perfect time for men to speak up about the injustice this boy is facing instead of waiting till when women are talking about how men take advantage of the girl child to quote “but boys get raped too” or something like that. A 31yrs old guy in Agege was arrested last night for sexually abusing a 15-year-old girl.... Around 10:30 PM, the girl’s mother realized her daughter wasn't inside her room and went searching for her but nowhere to be found in the vicinity. When the girl eventually returned home, her mother pressed her until she admitted she had been with the guy . The mother immediately confronted the man and warned him to stay away from her daughter. Rather than showing any remorse, the man boldly went to the mother’s house to threaten her and tell her not to speak to him in that manner — which only incriminated him further.While they were arguing, I intervened, asked what the issue was, and the mother explained the situation. When I asked the girl who the man was to her, she replied sadly, “He is my boyfriend.”I ensured the man was arrested, but I’m now conflicted. The girl’s mother is hesitant to take the case to court because she cannot afford the financial costs involved. However, I am ready and willing to support her financially through the process.This is a serious matter involving the abuse of a minor. What steps do you think we should take next?
