Recently declared a UNESCO world heritage, the Xixia Imperial Tombs in China. What remains today above ground is merely the core of the originally pagoda like tombs and mausoleums of the emperors of Tangut, early 11th century to 1227. The cores are rammed earth, standing for centuries without any sort of protection after the Mongolian Horde ripped everything else apart.
