@Saeren_ @mweinbach "a subset of Rosetta functionality aimed at supporting older unmaintained gaming titles" doesn't inspire much confidence, but we'll have to wait and see.

I have had this nagging feeling for the past few weeks that Apple is going to do something like Proton/Crossover style app native in macOS. Just install/run any game or Windows app seamlessly No evidence or reports or anything, but it's possible and a step I think they should take competitively. I have 0 reason to think this will ever be a thing, but it feels like it will be a thing that could be coming.

Starting doubt the Mythos narrative. If they have a God model then why: - Is Opus 4.7 so bad - Is Claude Code so buggy - Is Claude Desktop unfinished - Is the API down all the time

This is about "security" right? Not AI granting end users to ability to fork and implement the features you keep gated behind the Enterprise license... right?
Bailey Pumfleet@pumfleet

Open source is dead. That’s not a statement we ever thought we’d make. @calcom was built on open source. It shaped our product, our community, and our growth. But the world has changed faster than our principles could keep up. AI has fundamentally altered the security landscape. What once required time, expertise, and intent can now be automated at scale. Code is no longer just read. It is scanned, mapped, and exploited. Near zero cost. In that world, transparency becomes exposure. Especially at scale. After a lot of deliberation, we’ve made the decision to close the core @calcom codebase. This is not a rejection of what open source gave us. It’s a response to what risks AI is making possible. We’re still supporting builders, releasing the core code under a new MIT-licensed open source project called cal. diy for hobbyists and tinkerers, but our priority now is simple: Protecting our customers and community at all costs. This may not be the most popular call. But we believe many companies will come to the same conclusion. My full explanation below ↓

Hot take: Anthropic is deliberately distilling Opus 4.6 (lowering its quality) to build hype and anticipation for Mythos which might drop in q3 It’s a marketing stunt IMO. Make the current model feel a bit weaker so the next one hits harder with a bigger perceived jump.

Does anyone truly believe 6.73% of the impressions liked this post? You are the fraud. This is what astroturfing looks like, live. The tweet you quoted? 0.04% impressions have liked it. Ideologies aside, that is not a realistic disparity in engagement. Your numbers are fake.
Nick shirley@nickshirleyy

You tried to paint me as a pervert for exposing fraud, and as a result radical leftists started trying to dox me and send death threats, wanting to kill me. Now you are taking credit for “leading the charge” on the fraud. Are you serious? You are the fraud.

@dmitrygr @QasimRashid Citizens have not always been automatically registered. Upon turning 18, I registered to vote and for selective service at the same time.

@QasimRashid It has literally always been the case in America for all citizens and permanent residents. I had to register when I got my green card. Citizens are automatically registered and always have been.

Hegseth announces automatic registration for US military draft to begin in December. Any immigrant who doesn't register within 30 days of turning 18 can be criminally charged. While absurd, practically speaking all this does is show MAGA hypocrisy. Somehow automatic voter registration isn’t possible—but automatic registration for the draft program is both possible and now required. MAGAs don't want to make it easier for young people to vote—just easier for them to die in Trump's illegal wars.
