This weekend I staffed a Cadet Leadership 1 course in Merseyside, for cadets across the NW. It was an amazing weekend and was a pleasure to see the cadets grow in confidence over the course, as well as to work with an amazing NCO team and adults who made this happen! 🫶💚

The end of another first aid course, bringing us to 165 trained. So far, we've delivered training to: 65 under 16s 48 aged 16-17 54 adult volunteers This includes: 73 South London 39 West London 20 East London 20 South East Region 12 East of England #Teamwork #BeTheDifference

Spent this evening with the @stjohnambulance @SJAYouthEng team at the Liverpool city centre cadet unit for their careers night. A brilliant turnout of cadets alongside the unit team. And I had the honour of presenting 2 cadets with their corporal slides. Well done everyone!

#CadetTakeover! Last term our cadets planned out our training planner. Tonight - to celebrate Valentine's Day our adults and young people learnt about cardiac conditions. Our cadet CPLs taught cardiac conditions to our young people & an ex-cadet taught our adults. @SJAYouthEng

Today, we held our first activity morning for our cadets and badgers which was followed by a visit to Truro Cathedral where all our SJA volunteers received awards. @cornwall_sja @stjohnambulance

Are you ready for your #FridayRoundup?💫 🚨@SJADofE are celebrating a record-breaking year with almost 600 young people doing their DofE, including Seb from @SJA_Sussex, who has just completed his Silver. 💜 Thank you to David for sharing his wife's inspirational story. Jo is blind and has epilepsy, however she doesn’t let her disabilities stop her enjoying life. 🏹 DofE Alumni Jo did her DofE before she lost her sight and has since took part in lots of activities including wall climbing and blind archery. Their message is that “you can either beat the disability or let the disability beat you”. 🥇@aircadets attended a DofE training session at Wing HQ. They’re one step closer to completing their DofE and their leaders are very proud of them!

As I go into adults tomorrow, I will remember my cadet life. It has been an amazing 3+years as a Cadet in @stjohnambulance . Thank you for who supported me during my cadet time. I go onto now to become a youth helper, first aider and demonstrator in sja!

Today we held out annual County Badger of the Year Competition. A big well done to all the badgers that took part today you were all fantastic. I'm pleased to announce that the County Badger of the Year for Cornwall is Emily.@SJAYouthEng @stjohnambulance

And another term begins for our EofE Youth Forum! Some fantastic youth voice and youth engagement happening tonight 🎉

Its not just first aid for our @stjohnambulance young people. Here in the treatment centre one of our @SJAYouthEng cadets is overseeing the room, managing flow, ensuring PRFs are complete and patients get treated. Future event manager right there!

Today we held the first Greater Manchester Youth Forum meeting of 2025 at Stockport, which I enjoyed chairing. It was a fab day with lots of units represented from across the district. I can’t wait to see what we can achieve this year as the voice for GM youth! 💚 @SJAYouthEng
