If you find yourself in such a situation, apply the KISS principle: 👉🏻 Pick the path of least resistance to get started 👉🏻 Limit the variables by making a few educated guesses 👉🏻 Get to an acceptable working solution

The project got delivered on time but more importantly, we gained the TRUST of the other teams and did not face this situation ever again. These teams communicated from the get-go in many future projects and worked on solving the problems together.

Emotions were running high, the teams involved did not trust each other and the deadline was looming. The easier option was to simply complain about the other teams being too unreasonable, take a back seat and let the project blow up.
