We're so excited for Ambessa and so proud of the Ambessa pod and Publishing, Skins, Fortiche and all the other teams that helped contribute. We've seen a lot of excitement about her kit. We wanted a kit that can do her fantasy in Arcane justice; as an agile and precise Fighter, but fulfils a unique space with a more midrange combat pattern that leverages her ability to move in and out of combat through P. Of course, we've seen a lot of discourse about her dashes and still have some tuning to do before we go Live (including removal of the spell -> auto -> dash tech that's been popping up recently). We put a lot of thought into making sure that we have levers and options to ensure her dash cadence, ranges and energy costs are tunable and have clear moments of counterplay (dodge Q2, R for example) and the appropriate amount of cc (she has very little) and downtime. She does pay several tradeoffs for these dashes (low cc, poor defensive steroids for a fighter, lose 1v1 to most fighters in a straight up fight, etc.) and needs to keep uptime on the target to keep her energy up (ironically, which means she can get kited despite her dashes if the target can make space). Having said that, this pattern is pretty new for a fighter and we will be observing her performance very closely once players play her in real games against equally matched opponents (and not challengers functionally smurfing on PBE 😅). We know she may cause some frustration, but we want to strike the fine balance of what Fighters need to succeed in League (eg. some form of target access, ability to kill more durable targets and key defensive steroids that can allow them to survive in the middle of team fights under fire from multiple opponents) and acceptable levels of challenge for opponents.

Hello. 2024, which was so long and so hard, has just ended. I'm sorry that it ended with only disappointment. However, I think that although there were many difficult moments while participating in all the competitions and making it to the finals four times in the past year and a half, every moment seems to have been a good experience. I think I've grown a lot mentally, technically, as a person, and as a player. There were a lot of really tough moments, but I persevered and got to where I am now. That's why I'm proud of who I am now. Thank you to everyone who supported me until the end. I don't know what will happen next year, but I will always be the Noah who does his best. 🫶
