Day 8 Continued: Sun/temps dropped quickly as team entered the Orient Exp rewarded w/ 5k of steep skiing as sunset on the range. Rolled into camp at 1130pm
Day 8 Continued: The team of 5 set a lofty goal of the West Rib and ski descent of the Orient Express. Started @ 830am summited at 9pm to no wind & clear sky.
Day 8 Continued: Summit Day! In true fashion Adventure Loves Company deviated from the standard route and took on two more climbers that enjoy the suffer.
Day 7 Sponsorship aligns with our rest day. Shout out to Marco's 24hr Serenity Spa. Next to Big Ts Truck Stop right off the expressway on the way to Main.
Day 7 Continued: We feel we need to explain the bad grammar. It's due to Garmin/Twitter only allowing 160 characters or less per tweet. Ugh technology :)
Day 7 Full on rest day and time to change the base layers. O'Brien fed us well with plenty of pancakes bagel sammies pizza and a lot of junk food. Much needed
Day 6: Gorgeous acclimation day to 17k. Skinned/climbed w/ a team of 2 from Park City & we may be joining forces for a summit push in the next couple days.
Day 5: Rest days are still work days on Denali. Cook tent is up & retrieved our final cache. Overall we have some prime real estate for summit bids & skiing.
Day 4: Team moved to 14k Camp. Navigated through pea soup with skies clearing upon arrival to camp. Gorgeous views and looking forward to our day off tmrw.
