Taking out the COVID years, 25,100 is Essendon’s smallest MCG crowd since R19, 1993 against Sydney (22,813) #AFLDonsFreo

@ScooterMcNeice So when are the coaches held accountable Scooter?
English

@vcg47 @carr37 @hasumpstuffedup @mickeyemmerson No worries, it is definitely still confusing a lot of people
English

@skipdunn25 @carr37 @hasumpstuffedup @mickeyemmerson It’s not semantics though; incorrect disposal and failure to correctly dispose are two different things despite looking identical. Again, using the wrong terminology confuses others. Trust me, I’ve been umpiring for 20+ years and explaining it to the confused for longer.
English

@vcg47 @carr37 @hasumpstuffedup @mickeyemmerson Fans get confused because they don’t understand the application of the rule, not what it is called, you are getting tangled up in the wrong thing
English

@skipdunn25 @carr37 @hasumpstuffedup @mickeyemmerson “Incorrect disposal only becomes activated once there is prior”:

English

@vcg47 @carr37 @hasumpstuffedup @mickeyemmerson “Elects to” is a conscious decision to do the wrong thing- completely different to what we are taking about
English

@vcg47 @carr37 @hasumpstuffedup @mickeyemmerson Yes-“elects to”, I am clearly talking about a genuine attempt which is completely different- I may have the ordering of the words wrong but the bottom line is a player can’t be penalised for incorrect disposal without prior when making a genuine attempt to dispose of the ball
English

@vcg47 @carr37 @hasumpstuffedup @mickeyemmerson No, that is dropping or throwing the ball deliberately- I specifically said legitimate attempt to dispose of the ball - of course if they just drop it or throw it
Even without prior that is a free- you are confusing the rules
English

@skipdunn25 @carr37 @hasumpstuffedup @mickeyemmerson No, it only applies without prior. You’re confusing it with ‘failure to correctly dispose’, which is different.
Incorrect disposal is when the tackled player *elects* to incorrectly dispose (e.g. deliberate drop, placing it on the ground).
English

@carr37 @hasumpstuffedup @mickeyemmerson Yeah this is where there is a big misconception. Incorrect disposal only becomes activated once there is prior. If there is no prior the player doesn’t actually have to dispose of the ball correctly as long as there is an attempt to dispose correctly
English

@hasumpstuffedup @mickeyemmerson So incorrect disposal no longer comes into it ?

@FOXFOOTY He then said “do you really want to hurt me”……what….ohhh, Roy George….my mistake

“I just feel like it’s going to rear its head again at the end of this year." 😳

@myjointaye In their defence though, Durham was rancid yesterday, he was just as fumbly and failed some big moments so not sure that was our biggest issue.
English

Red dot Scott just wastes him on a HFF whilst sticking fat with peaheart DP3 and fumbler JC6 🙄

English

@ScooterMcNeice Thanks for still doing the show- a big effort considering what you have on and how crap that was
English

@skipdunn25 @AflGlicko Have, it your way. I was formulating the list in my head. Haha
English

@Lee__bomb @AflGlicko Well it depends on what you are arguing now- did he impact games as much, maybe not. Is he a better overall player than Blicavs - absolutely imo. Would argue the top 50 point as well but that is hard to do short of us going through them one by one…agree to disagree
English

@skipdunn25 @AflGlicko He was solid, great by foot, and a premiership player. But you couldn't argue he can impact a game like Blivavs. When I think of the great Essendon players, he's not in the top 50
English

@Lee__bomb @AflGlicko Zero chance Blicavs is better than Foulds was. 300 games is a great achievement and not taking anything away from Mark but Foulds was a champion….terrible take
English

@AflGlicko He's definitely better than Scott Thompson and Garry Foulds, possibly Tyson Edwards. That's about it
