@AndrewVos I’m sure they had, & they worked it out, but it was the immediate connection they had with the word Select. And I’m always interested in getting to the bare minimum “cognitive lode”. How can we make the highest percentage of users just know what to do without having to think.

What the internet really needs is an interchangeable word for click and tap.

@jaspertandy Maybe if I’m holding down to drag something. Press implies something less transient than a tap or a click to me. And contextually I might press a button, but I wouldn’t press a toggle, checkbox or radio button.

@jaspertandy Maybe for trackpad users, but wouldn’t be intuitive/natural to somebody using a mouse.
