Have a break but don’t have a KitKat because I compared a KitKat sold in Australia with one sold in India, and the numbers are sadly not surprising. The Australian version contains: -Milk solids – 20% -Cocoa – 22% -Added sugar – 21.7g The Indian version contains: -Milk solids – 16.1% -Cocoa – 4.5% -Added sugar – 28.9g Indians are getting a significantly inferior version compared to Kit-Kat abroad. This is not just limited to the Kit-Kat but most packaged food items like Cerelac, Lays etc. This is because of 3 reasons. 1.India is a price-sensitive country, and as a result companies put low quality ingredients. But costing alone doesn’t explain the full picture. 2.Our regulations are weak and they don’t prevent companies from giving us inferior products. 3.We as consumers do not question what we’re being served. That is exactly why I started Label Padhega India. Because unless we read and ask, nothing changes. Companies rarely change because they feel guilty. Companies change if consumers unite and ask for it. So it’s our responsibility, together, to speak up and make sure our voices are heard. Let’s Make India Healthy Again.

I have Axis Bank credit card. Three days ago, on axis bank App, I clicked on a pop-up of card upgradation. After reviewing the details I chose not to proceed further. However since then I have received at least 20 phone calls from different representatives of Axis Bank regarding the same matter. What is particularly concerning is that each executive who called was fully aware of my name, the specific category of credit card I hold and even the fact that I had checked the upgrade section on the app.  This raises an important question: how widely has my personal and financial information been shared within the organization? This is not only a matter of inconvenience due to repeated calls but also a serious issue of data privacy and financial data security. आप सबसे ज़्यादा डॉक्टर पर ही तो भरोसा करते हो… और अगर वही भरोसा तोड़ दे, तो आप क्या करोगे? ये लड़की सिर्फ़ अपना wisdom tooth निकलवाने के लिए dentist के पास गई थी। डॉक्टर ने उसे anesthesia दिया, ऑपरेशन किया, दाँत निकाला और वो आराम से घर लौट आई। लेकिन एक महीने बाद उसकी तबीयत अचानक बिगड़ने लगी। उल्टियाँ, कमजोरी, बहुत ज़्यादा sickness। उसने सारे tests कराए, लेकिन कुछ भी clear नहीं आया। बाद में जब उसने blood test करवाया, तो सच्चाई सामने आई वह pregnant थी। सबसे डरावनी बात ये थी कि वो लड़की काफ़ी समय से sexually active थी ही नहीं। तो फिर pregnancy कैसे? तभी उसे याद आया वो दिन, जब वह dentist के पास anesthesia में थी। उसने पुलिस में complaint दर्ज करवाई 🚨 और जाँच में सामने आया कि anesthesia की हालत में dentist ने उसका rape किया था। जिस लड़की ने कभी consensual sex तक नहीं किया था, वो एक डॉक्टर की दरिंदगी की वजह से pregnant हो गई। 💔 ये कहानी सिर्फ़ एक केस नहीं है ये एक सवाल है हमारे सिस्टम और भरोसे पर। भरोसा टूटे तो इंसान अंदर से मर जाता है। 🖤
