Nobody said one doesn’t hurt. Both can deeply damage families and emotionally destroy people involved. Maybe you are also using the lens of emotion, but nonetheless, the point is that they are not identical situations. One is infidelity, the other includes assigning biological fatherhood to someone who may not actually be the father, with legal, financial, and identity implications attached. A woman discovering her husband had another family is devastating. A man discovering years later that a child he believed was biologically his isn’t, is also devastating. Acknowledging the difference between the two is not minimizing either pain.

@skstudiosgh_ @everymandiez @Efua_ampofoa It’s the same. You’re just looking at it from the lens of ego. Thinking one hurts than the other is weird. You don’t know how women feel when their husbands knowingly have a whole other family outside. A family they are unaware of and completely blindsided by, often after death

Dede, There’s a difference between moral wrongdoing and deliberate deception with legal and financial consequences. Having a child outside marriage may be irresponsible or hurtful, but paternity fraud involves knowingly making someone believe a child is biologically theirs, sometimes for years, with emotional, legal, and financial implications attached. Both can damage families, but they are not the same issue legally or ethically.

@skstudiosgh_ @everymandiez @Efua_ampofoa If a suitable punishment for paternity fraud is imprisonment, a suitable punishment for having children outside your matrimonial home should be imprisonment

@everymandiez @Efua_ampofoa Firstly, the average man can’t afford to take care of kids with his finances alone. Wives are also doing that. When you have children outside your matrimonial home, you’ll be splitting funds meant for your matrimonial home. What will be an equivalent punishment for that.

@Efua_ampofoa Let me help you, she’s saying, if that plan to jail women for paternity fraud, men should be jailed when they have children outside their matrimonial homes. Which has been the case a lot

@skstudiosgh_ @Hitz1039FM Which even makes their claim more questionable. What’s stopping them from putting out the price if it’s not as outrageous as it’s being purported. The host could’ve done his guest and Ghanaians a favor by probing further but…

@MrDinheiro_ @Hitz1039FM True, but I’ve been following this for sometime now, they put out a communiqué debunking the price and didn’t even stated the real prices they only added a link to their website, I visited the site and there too, there were no official prices.
