@Howlingmutant0 He was basically asking for it with that bowl cut. If he didn't want to be auctioned off like a spring bull he should've dodged the needle Ellen jammed into his arm before starting the bidding.

“This new iphone is great, it comes with a built in pedometer.” “WHAT?! It can..detect that…?” “Y-yeah, you know, it…measures your steps? You’re…hurting me…” *wiping ice cold beads of sweat from my brow*: “Ah yes, of course ha ha”

@CryptoCyberia The image side was really good. Better than going through chat. Video was dumb and its odd that was their focus. I bet they are going to push the API hard and rake in more money because you can go bankrupt generating images via the API if you are testing styles.

@effindriver @philthatremains You don't understand the exec/management class at all. They will sell every piece of the economy and then burn through every shred of intrinsic societal value to adopt this while ignoring the hallucinations. This is their holy grail. They will print money endlessly to fund it

Respectfully disagree, there is absolutely a bubble, and I don't think its a stretch for me to say a large section of the populous is eagerly awaiting it to pop. There are absolutely fields where AI is/can/will be useful, but the fact that the term alone is so overused to say nothing of the ridiculous implementations is all that is needed to see there is a bubble. The collapse of a bubble does not mean it will go away, simply that it will recede back to a rational level of usage. When the .com bubble burst, we did not loose Amazon or eBay or any other of a large number of justifiable uses, but it did remove the bloat and the unneeded and frankly stupid implementations. We will see that again.

In the end when physical humanoid robots are in play requiring priority access to a global satellite internet array both companies will end up liquidating to xAi and the models will be absorbed into Grok. In reality Anthropic and OpenAI are just R&D branches for xAi.

a company losing $14 billion a year is guaranteeing investors a 17.5% minimum return. read that again. they’re offering private equity firms a guaranteed minimum return, downside protection, and early access to unreleased models just to get them to invest $4 billion. the most valuable AI company on earth is projected to lose $14 billion this year while making $10 billion in revenue. the math aint mathing 💀 Anthropic is also chasing the same investors but only offering equity with no guarantees. OpenAI is sweetening the deal. two companies burning billions racing to see who can lose money faster. lmao.

JUST IN: OpenAI reportedly offering private-equity firms a guaranteed minimum return of 17.5% in push to raise fresh capital.

@Jordan10842 @No_Good_Commies @Christo09468962 @shoe0nhead Reporting allowed for anyone that tested positive in a 30 day window. So if you tested positive with the famously inaccurate PCR test and then died within 30 days for any reason it was counted as a COVID death. This is why the CDC "lost" their data warehouse after the fact.

@JoshWalkos This is likely a feature to easily adhere to local/state ordnances/laws or to get around FOI where the public must be able to access if paid for with public funds.

This YouTuber, Benn Jordan discovered that a surveillance company named Flock Safety who currently has over 90K camera deployed throughout the US, is severely compromised. He found that many cameras are live-streaming directly to the open internet.

If you want to know why Project Hail Mary is a cultural phenomenon, there are plenty of good reasons. But this line is what holds it all together. It’s not just the foundation of the film’s hopeful impulse. It is the defining realization of our time. This IS the vibe shift.

I mean they are getting cut now for sure, but not in large enough numbers to break through the layers of narcissism. Like you said when it really drops ... especially when the robots show up ... well stand the fuck by because we will witness entire industries consolidate. The term "job loss" is far too small in scope. This is productive work consolidation backed by a time machine and half the jobs out there are just daycare for dysfunctional adults propped up by boomers who held back real streamlined automation anyway they could.

@skunky @ALegendaryDrops When AI really drops it WILL be them getting cut too since why in the fuck are they keeping a bunch of knuckledragging middle managers that don't know how to fix anything? They'll need more IT to be overseers to keep the AI on track basically. Making THEM the new managers.

Ngl the marketing of AI has to be studied. It will replace you. Its inevitable. You'll rent compute from us. You'll own nothing and be happy. "Why is everyone so mad" Like I don't even hate AI but its fascinating to see CEOs punch themselves in the dick for sport.
Mike Ybarra@Qwik

@CrimsonDesert_ Why apologize? AI, in one form or another, will be in every single video game. I don't get why devs feel the need to bend over for the few folks who can't accept the reality that AI will be in every single thing - from video games to your fridge (it already is). Man up.
