@ChloeAriT And the only reason left that I can think of (since you get paid if u turn out positive) is to save face and hide the fact that you do have the virus

@skyeera 💜 that doesn't seem selfish as much as it seems like what a lot of people are taught to do, or at least were before covid. I kinda doubt they enjoyed working while sick.

@ChloeAriT Sorry but Im ABSOLUTELY fuming because I’ve taken every precaution I since internship startedcan not to get exposed. But this ONE person who didnt “feel much, other than a little cough” chose to go to work anyway and expose us doctors and some 20 something 40-60 year old patients

@ChloeAriT It’s selfish because she chose not to do the right thing as a person trained in what to do in these situations. Which was not to go to work. Nobody was forcing her to go to work in the first place. You even get paid for hazard if you get swabbed and turn out positive.

@ChloeAriT A person in their mid 20s wont feel much(in most cases) when they have covid. This healthcare worker in particular only had a mild cough but refused to get tested. Take this in comparison to a 60 year old diabetic who went to the hospital to get treated. Imagine them -

@ChloeAriT She’s a 27 year old educated healthcare worker who has been advised since this pandemic began on what to do if u experienced symptoms related to covid. first thing is to SELFISOLATE. Imagine how many people she spread the virus to while on the job. Most of them immunocompromised.

@jorgesama9 Highly rec! It’s nice imo because you don’t “take your work home with you” i.e. you don’t come home worrying about your patients if everything goes well in the or. There’s a lot of physiology, pharm, and anatomy involved so if you like those subj youll love anes!

Seriously considering anesthesiology now. Such a fun and interesting field ✨ Work schedule doesn’t seem bad at all and the pay is good. 👀
