in 2016, at age 18, i genuinely believed that things would be okay because my generation had it straight and it was only a matter a time til we had control. that is now repudiated. time will not be enough. it will demand work and fury.

no matter what happens, may this election be the death nail in the self-congratulatory “gen z will change the world” shit. gen z white men vote like every other generation of white men, and in some cases are further to the right

Our newest video is out now. It's about antinatalism, reproductive justice, and the nature of suffering. I think it's the best thing we've ever made.

@jeremystewart9 thank you! but I actually have a new video coming out in about a week! in the conclusion i was talking about how i probably wont make any *pokemon* videos for a while, but I have plenty of other new vids to make dont worry :)
English

@skyehoppers I suppose here, like you said it doesn't quite confirm either way. I just know from experience with my latest video, that it immediately began performing better after beginning my test, which made me think it was serving more impressions skewed to one thumb throughout the test
English

@Lostfutures1 It still might be! With smaller sample size you might just need to run the test a few times to trust the result. Which does suck, but it's probably better than the previous way of desperately trying to parse graphs that dont actually give you the most useful data
English

@skyehoppers Thanks for doing these tests!
Thought the new system would be helpful :(

@wizawhat Ok so I think I got that idea from the second paragraph pictured, from this page (support.google.com/youtube/answer…)
But now that I re-read it it's not exactly cut-and-dry. Hmmm. I couldve sworn there was somewhere else where they guaranteed equal impressions but I cant find it now.

English

@skyehoppers Can you show me where they've said that? Upon more thought I feel like the results here are coming from small sample size of impressions. IN THAT CASE though, it is very weird and bad that it concluded the test after just three days.
English

@wizawhat According to their own methodology, each thumbnail continues to be shown entirely randomly and evenly, regardless of if one is clearly pulling ahead. If it does start showing one more than another (which this result does resemble) then theyre lying about how it works...
English

@skyehoppers ...content more than others. Since all thumbs are the same, there's nothing changing the experience for the viewer, and as one thumbnail starts to snowball due to a random viewer connecting with the content more, it will select that thumbnail to serve more impressions
