@skyexraine @Paristo43 in that specific instance, it wasn’t a real animal but the OG cartoon showed that she eventually upgraded to cruelty against real turtle ducks. there was a flashback where zuko showed his mom what azula did to a turtle duck.

it's actually okay that she was more attentive to the child that was being constantly verbally and emotionally abused. also, ursa reprimanding azula for the shit she did when she was little was actually her demonstrating love for azula, not neglect. mom of the year.
