@BritPortu Thank you🙏 These ones mostly hang out there for hours. Sometimes they come over here and fly over my house for a few hours. I've had them beside me, got a recording of a blue one. 2 green ones came up beside me in the garden last year 2. They follow me around, even on hols 🤣

@skywatcher_irl Fascinating capture! The Sionyx handles low-light beautifully. What movement patterns did the orbs show? That's usually where the real story lies.

County Meath, Ireland. I posted a couple of vids from April 3rd that I recorded with the Dwarf 3 (on my channel). While I was recording with the telescope I was also recording some footage with the Sionyx Aurora. Full video is here youtu.be/nNO4IHFK8MQ #orbs #ufo #uap

@frereClaude No definitely not. Ireland's history with orbs and other anomalous lights in the skies goes back thousands of years. The ancients called them the Sí, Fae, will-o'-the-wisp, corpse lights etc. Mythology doesn't have the same meaning for me anymore 😉

Mar 31st 2026, from County Meath, Ireland. They came back last night after disappearing for around a week. It wasn't crazy busy but this is what they usually do after a break. It should be busier tonight. The full video is here youtu.be/HXm6oJuY2SM #orbs #ufox

@RedHillThe1st @NealOBrien14 They can be huge. I have a good few videos on my profile of closer ones. But on a few occasions they've been a few feet away. The 2 green ones in my garden were only about 2-3 feet wide. I caught one on camera last year, a blue one. It was about 10 feet away and fast.

@skywatcher_irl @NealOBrien14 They get low. It can be hard to gauge to true distance. I've seen them above, in and under clouds. I once input as much data into an AI, my elevation, the weather, temperature etc. I described how it lit up the cloud. The AI guessed it was about the size of a bus.

I just sat outside last night with a cuppa and my Sionyx camera and watched the night sky. The first 10s or so is of a confirmed Starkink sat, for reference. The full 20m video is here youtu.be/abOXp8GHSU4.

@RedHillThe1st @NealOBrien14 It's so busy up there. In the full video on yt I just pointed the camera at the busiest part of the sky and let it run. So beautiful and peaceful to watch them. Do you ever have any orbs closer to you?

@skywatcher_irl @NealOBrien14 That is an impressive amount of activity in a short space of time. Yeah, we built a little garden room with long windows to sit and watch in cold weather. I got to a stage where my family was bored with it and I'd sit out on my own as long as I could and watch them do their thing

@RedHillThe1st @NealOBrien14 Thanks for letting me know😉 One of my favourite things to do is just lay on the deck chair and watch. Some nights are insane... Then there's this x.com/i/status/19972… 🤣. I've posted quite a lot of weird/cool stuff in the skies here.

@skywatcher_irl @NealOBrien14 We see them in Galway on clear nights. I was addicted to seeing them at first, I still love to see them but I'm kinda used to it now. There is something magical about knowing they exist up there

@NealOBrien14 I'm in county Meath. It can be any time at night and any location of the sky. It's very easy to see them without a camera too. The satellites mostly look like small pale dots but these things are much bigger and brighter and move a lot slower. Some blink, pulsate or flash too.

@Fish_Lips_ I'll have to make a call to sionyx. I have to get that firmware updated. I really liked being able to use my phone as the viewfinder too. It's a neck saver 😫. If I'm recording brighter sky I don't see as much grain, like your video. It's just higher up, dark sky.

@Fish_Lips_ Looks great. Is that the pro version? I just have the base, the sensor in the pro is so much better.

@RichComer1 @BillyKryzak My main tips with the sionyx are the FPS settings. 60fps is good for brighter sections of sky, 30fps medium darkness and 24fps for higher up in space. Gain depends on what you're recording but I don't usually go any higher that 1.3, usually 1.7/2. 😉

I mentioned in my earlier post that I'm working on software that enhances my footage from the sionyx camera. I've also built in the ability to create a dual and quad screen, multi filter (selectable for each view). So I loaded the video I posted the other day. Interesting...

@Fish_Lips_ Nope. WiFi stopped working on it a while ago so I can't connect 😥 not sure what version is on it but it's at least back to November last year. Are there many improvements?

@RichComer1 Not for the Dwarf 3, yet. I have a solar filter but thats all thats available. It has built in Astro and Dual band filters for deep space objects. I might try the dual band next time actually. Just to see if I can spot anything different.

I have tried many times to capture the orbs with my Dwarf 3 telescope. Every time I brought the telescope to my sky watching location they would disappear. But not last night. I have a lot more footage to go through from last night too. full video is here youtu.be/NGHXhFpp9kw.

I'm ashamed to admit I have not travelled into Scotland or Ireland past Edinburgh and Dublin. Are you Scottish or Irish? Can you post some places you think people NEED to visit in your country? Bonus points for ancient, mysterious and megalithic sites!
