@Gilbietcg @LyricOfWisdom I don’t think that’s what would be happening. I believe this means that we will have three full quarters with events, and then an “off-season” quarter. So the first quater starts sept 1, and has a full three months, then winter quarter, and spring quarter.

Card availability isnt an issue (minus pokepad) People have had over a month now to get poke pads and still couldn’t, even with the rule change.

Lame. It would be cringe to call a judge over for a 3 letter difference on the bottom left of a card. What would the penalty even be? There isn’t any competitive advantage to playing the POR ones instead of the ASC ones.

@LewisLumen Yes, and these are judge-issued proxies because of a tournament issue, these are not player-brought proxies, which is what this post refers to.

@slAndeh to be a bit precise, judges can issue proxies if cards get marked during an event [or similar things like misprints]. There are some rules where TOs can exercise some discretion [card language for example], but not proxies at sanctioned events

@TaylorNorris02 @AnthonyOuertani @playpokemon This has nothing to do with the two week rule that exists, this is solely because Pokemon has a prerelease period that exists for major set releases to build hype for the set. PokéPad in POR is legal upon official release, ahead of the two week rule.

@mattsPoKeTweets As for prize packs: every player gets a prize pack for participation, and then additional one for placing (T4 JR/SR, T8 MA). Scales up from there, with 1st getting 10 prize packs in MA, 5 in JR/SR.

@mattsPoKeTweets I generally aim for lowest prizing to be a return on their entry in packs, so 2, 3, and 4 PFL for JR/SR/MA. I scale up from there. This cup, 1st place in each division got an ETB. Any remainder I have goes to judge comp. I bought an ETB and split that up among judges, as a treat.
