Happy Black (British) History Month. Today, I am paying tribute to Claudia Jones who was born in Trinidad & founded the Notting Hill Carnival. She was a pioneering journalist & political activist who went on to launch the West Indian Gazette newspaper. An inspiring woman. 🙌🏾

Today for Black History Month, I am paying tribute to Liverpool-born Emma Clarke who was the first Black female professional football player. She was also part of the first women’s team in the UK, the British Ladies founded in 1894.
