If California democrats actually believed that the Climate Crisis increased the risk of wildfires, then they would have done something to mitigate that risk. They might not be able to stop the Chinese from building coal fired power plants, but they could have managed the dry fuel that was blanketing the hills around LA. They might not be able to force everyone in India to drive electric cars, but they could have kept their own water reservoirs full. They might not be able to stop the Saudis from pumping oil, but they could have increased the funding of their fire and water departments. But they didn't do any of those things. And so either they are supremely incompetent, or they don't actually believe in the Climate Crisis, or (and I think this to be the most likely case) both.

I recently came across a heartbreaking situation involving a young girl who needs our help. Her family is facing incredible challenges right now. Please consider donating or sharing to support them. Every bit helps. gofund.me/13ae4edd

"This election is something of an indictment on the political information complex. The story that was portrayed was not true. We were just ignoring the fundamentals." Scott Jennings does a flawless job taking down an entire panel of woke CNN hosts.

Design Patterns is a wonderful book. Yes, I know, it's thirty years old. Yes, I know it uses older languages. But it's still great. Some folks have said that the concept of Design Patterns is out of date -- that those patterns were just workarounds for the bad languages of the day. What a load of Dingoes Kidneys! The Patterns described in the book are timeless and well worth the effort to learn. They are crystalized applications of old and well worn principles. You _will_ use them, one way or another, because they are common solutions to common problems. If you don't know them already, you'll work them out for yourself. The benefit of learning the patterns from the book is that it gives those common solutions canonical names, and canonical forms. When others who know those names and forms see them in your code, they'll know exactly what to expect.
