SLC911 received a call at 6:41 a.m. of a possible death at 1723 S. 300 E. The manner of death is unknown and will be determined by autopsy, the identification of the person is also unknown at this time. Currently it is believed the person is a middle-aged male. Salt Lake City Police are investigating a fatal auto pedestrian accident in the area of California Ave on Redwood Road. Southbound Redwood Road will be closed during the investigation and northbound traffic will be impacted as well. Please avoid the area.

Beck Street has reopened.

Two people were arrested in connection with the shooting in downtown last night. Angelo Garcia and Joshua Martinez, were taken into custody shortly after the incident, and booked into the Salt Lake County jail.
