I want to clarify that it’s the first campaign I’ve completed because I haven’t been able to play in 3 years.
I would have gladly played the last few expansions, but I had two tiny humans to raise.
I TRIED to play Dragonflight launch, but my oldest came two weeks early. I was actually in active labor while streaming and waiting for servers to come up.

Need? Nothing as long as you're fully able bodied. Their revamp of the UI system is pretty good.
If you have vision issues you may want to get a name plate add on.
If you like to play the AH I hear good things about Auctionator.
TomTom is good for locating things that are difficult to find when leveling.
