Learnt a new fact today. A friend asked if my gran could factcheck his samurai action comic. She's just emailed him a list of historical errors she found in his comic. One stood out: "He shouldn't be eating a chicken leg. Japan wasn't a nation of meat eaters until the 1950s."

@cinema_strikes @themunnyshot Aw. We also went every year until I locked myself in my bedroom on the day of our flight. Our family home is in Yamagata Prefecture. Not far from Sakata (coastal city).

@sleepykane @themunnyshot One of my daughter’s friends has had a similar experience, they go back every year for part of the summer. Near Hakone, I think. Most boonies I’ve been was living in Shimane for a bit.
