People forget that Britain ruled India for roughly two centuries, draining resources and distorting its economy. After independence in 1947, India chose a heavily state-controlled model—partly shaped by colonial trauma and distrust of foreign capital. That meant decades of slower growth under the “License Raj.” It wasn’t until the 1991 economic reforms that India seriously opened markets, reduced controls, and embraced capitalism at scale. In historical terms, India is one of the youngest major economies to fully liberalize. Since then, India’s rise has been dramatic. It is now the world’s fastest-growing major economy, with IMF forecasts around 6%+ annual GDP growth, far ahead of many developed nations. The H-1B system let America tap into that human capital pipeline. Instead of spending decades building equivalent talent domestically, U.S. firms could hire already-trained engineers, doctors, researchers, and specialists educated partly at India’s expense. That means America often got: • Peak productive workers in their prime years • Lower training costs • Immediate plug-and-play talent for growth sectors • More startups, patents, and tax revenue • Global competitiveness without waiting a generation In blunt terms: India invested in raising talent, and America benefited by importing it at the highest-output stage. That’s why anti-H-1B politics can be economically self-defeating. If you block access to global talent, that talent doesn’t disappear—it builds the next boom somewhere else.

When a computer tracks the Indian classical dancer in this video, it picks up perfect circles, triangles, and curves in every movement. There are exactly 108 of them. All 108 were written into a manual over 2,000 years ago. That manual is the Natya Shastra. Six thousand verses, written somewhere around 200 BCE. It describes 108 specific dance movements for Bharatanatyam, one of the oldest dance forms in India. Each movement spells out three things: where your hands go, what angle your body holds, and the exact path your legs trace. Roughly 150 step combinations grow out of those 108 base movements. A trained dancer spends years learning 70 to 80 of them. Watch the dancer's legs in the video. The bent-knee squat creates a diamond shape. Palms together make a triangle. When researchers plotted these positions in three dimensions this year, they found the moving body carves out twisted spirals and bowl-shaped curves, the kind of shapes you see in an engineering textbook, not a dance studio. Every limb holds a specific angle and moves a measured distance. The rhythm is math too. A 7-beat song gets filled with dance steps of 3 and 4. Scale that to 35 beats and the groups of 3 and 4 repeat five times. Choreographers work out these splits in their heads while performing live. All 108 movements are also carved into the stone walls of a 12th-century temple in Tamil Nadu called Chidambaram, many panels still carrying the original Sanskrit description next to them. A choreography textbook in granite, still legible after 900 years. A 2013 study put 25 people on a walkway rigged with motion-capture cameras. Every human stride has two parts: when your foot is on the ground and when it swings forward. The ratio between those two parts came out to 1.620. The golden ratio is 1.618. Your foot lifts off at 61.8% of every step you take, and it has done this your entire life. A Bharatanatyam dancer takes that same built-in proportion and amplifies it across 108 movements, each one tracing shapes that were set down in writing over 2,000 years before the tracking software in this video existed.

@sleepyow1_fps @viv1enna No they're saying that the lack of development or encouragement into people with marginalised genders in esports typically leads to a skill gap, and so platforming a series that is public encourages more people in those groups to get into esports, and maybe join main leagues

The fact transphobic cavemen still pretend GC is only a space for women when Riot and the TO's have said time and time again its a circuit for marginalized genders shows how bad faith their position is. Its not about women and their opportunities to someone like Sick, its about discrimination.

Another Game Changers team predominantly featuring biological men. Now I am certainly glad this organization unfollowed me. When will women stand up for having their slots taken by transformers 🥀

@viv1enna So you are saying there is just sexisum in VCT main circuit and Do you think there is no skill gap between GC and VCT league teams if they play together. Do the GC teams can match with the level of competition I am just curious 🤔

i’ll assume you’re approaching this in good faith and give you a response. The sole purpose something like Game Changers exists is because marginalized genders (cis women, trans women, enby people etc) aren’t given the same opportunities to develop as players as a cis men are. Gaming is a male dominated space rampant with sexism and transphobia, SicK’s tweet proves that point outright. The point of gendered circuits is to develop talent and eventually feed that talent into Tier 1 play. Florescent is a very good example of what player development inside a circuit like this can contribute to the space in practice.

@SicK_cs Do Game changers teams do well in open circuit in NA or they are not on that level of competition between Women team and Men team because it's just a online game how does men have advantage in an online game 🫡 and If there is a huge gap then it's cooked
