@RNR_0 From what I’ve learnt , in crypto things are much more unpredictable in terms of an algorithm. Plus fees are predatory . The only times I found my bots to be consistent in trading crypto was in neutral environments such as ranges . If you need to live test data , lmk ik a way

@slime_giant Oooh, I see Alright, now this makes more sense Funny, it does underperform in a bull market compared to the buy & hodl But I *THINK* it is because a short position in a bull market is less profitable Also ends up buying "higher" after confirmation

Trying stuff out BTC 1h time frame Backtesting performance specifically in bear market regimes (else it's biased) * Only profitable in bear because shorting, otherwise it still loses but it does outperform buy & hodl * I do need to adjust the fee &slippage, but unsure if I have the settings right. It does look a little bit too good to be true

@RNR_0 Strategy.close position and then market as condition inside brackets . Then open a fresh position

@RNR_0 True dd is 77% assuming you’re starting with 100k . Tv calculates max dd from peak balance so it says 25% . Plus 10 ticks is one pip . So check average spread with broker and adjust ticks accordingly . Plus real world conditions vary heavily .
