Ok so to put this into perspective you saying that battle killed Hiphop mainstream staying power? Wow. I feel like this is bigger than "that battle" so my question is what's the last rap album(s) to you that had that level of strong staying power. And I feel like apart of this can be attributed to the major mainstream artists not droppin as much. And last year alone rap albums stayed atop the charts for months. Mainly in the 2nd half of the year. GNX dominated most of 2025 btw. And that shit was dropped in October of 24'.

@Tdmoney26 My take is if you compare current mainstream projects to the past, the chokehold mainstream hip hop has is gone This doesn’t mean good music hasn’t released. In the past yes there were hip hop albums #1 and hanging at #1 every month. Is not really that way anymore

@SlimK4 Clipse cardi B youngboy and carti all has very successful years last year. All these albums topped the charts. Don't tap that glass by Tyler topped charts too. these are all mainstream artists. WHAM also Topped charts. Which is why I don't get this take.
