@DanClarkSports I've told a few others that he'll be closer to Chris Davis than to Boog Powell.

"Montreal Expos management asked me if I would give French lessons to the players when we were on the road and it was fun.
I used to teach it phonetically because you didn’t have time to do it too extensive grammatically.
A lot of the Latin players like Dennis Martinez and others really enjoyed it … they were regulars.
We used to have about a one-hour course per city we were visiting.
They would lease a suite or a ball room or something like that and supply me with a blackboard … stuff like that.
We used to get seven or eight guys who would show up on a fairly regular basis." Jacques Doucet.
ONLY person to broadcast a Major League Baseball team over its entire history!!!!!!! Jacques Doucet coined, popularized or invented an entire glossary of baseball terms that didn’t quite translate to French in a way that made any sense.
The “chandelle,” or candle, which is the word he used to describe a popup, “Flèche,” or arrow, which meant a line drive. “Frappé en lieu sûr,” which means, “hit in a safe place” and was the term used to describe a base hit.
There is no real word for “knuckle” in French.
It’s called a finger joint, and “finger joint ball” doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue, so Doucet coined the term “balle papillon” or “butterfly ball”

Media outlets in Montreal are reporting #expos broadcaster Rodger Brulotte died today of cancer at the age of 79.
I knew of the severity of his illness but didn't want to say much in my earlier post.
Bonsoir, Rodger. R.I.P.
Big loss for baseball in Canada.
