@ArdentVision1 I remember asking for extra chores so I could get more allowance so that I could afford the monthly fee. I agree that it hasn't aged well, but it felt like magic at the time. I've only felt that magic twice. The other was with the release of World of Warcraft.

#EverQuest was the first MMO i ever played and it consumed my life for over 2 years! Corpse runs at 2AM. Boat rides that actually took time. Shouting “TRAIN TO ZONE!” like it was a survival instinct. And standing still to regenerate mana? Exp loss on death. Madness by today’s standards. But we loved it. Norrath was brutal but beautiful. 💙 #EverQuest #GamingNostalgia
