@owennurminen And I agree with u that generally office cubicle work + hours are awful, but keep in mind, historically, women’s movements have been fighting for access to workplaces that literally had significantly worse working conditions than modern day office jobs do

@owennurminen Women have fought for hundreds of years for access to the world outside the home (business, politics etc). Why did they do that if the traditional role of women, (only being a mother) is so great?

@owennurminen Working there is part of building their identities around things meaningful for them. They could still have kids if they want. Modern times,they get way more flexibility than being coerced into having to only identify as 'baby + housework machine side character in a guys life'.

@dhylns @depthsk like every politician says "the people are my number one priority" and run on a platform of ideas about how they can promote well-being for the people they represent. Many have very different, often contradicting visions, of what "best for the people" means in terms of policy
