lol the ICJ Israel defence just argued that because the call for ceasefire was not issued by the court during the 90s war crime ridden conflict in Bosnia there is a precedent not to call for one now. Literally "Hey we didn't rule to stop a genocide back in the day so we shouldn't do so now". Absolutely wild.

Objectively though I think that Shaw in his dry speech, too dry even for his own vocal cords, has presented an emotionless legal assessment that is mostly focused on procedural elements, which aim towards the conclusion that #ICJ does not have jurisdiction.

I've just tuned into the ICJ & they're going with their best defence, that they're victims and hostages are worthy of justice. It's still not much though is it given Israel's not doing anything to help their victims and are instead just committing a genocide. #IsraelsGenocide
