@SteveBarclay This statement proves why strikes need to happen. Working on the wards you see first hand how hard staff work and the issues they face. Safety is compromised already. You just don't like that we've had enough and are no longer willing to sit down and shut up.

Ambulance workers do invaluable work & unions have decided to strike to cause maximum disruption, inevitably impacting care. Patient safety is my number one priority and the government & NHS colleagues have been working to protect safe staffing levels telegraph.co.uk/politics/2022/…

@SLT_LaurenS It took a long time for me to know how, what and where of grief when my brother died and the @thegriefcast got me ready for the possibility of therapy. A huge resource.

@SLTCWilliams We've been told that scrubs will be available which will hopefully help... Or just show some truly epic sweat patches

Some Fridays you just have to leave the office acknowledging that everything is Monday's problem now and that if it was really important they would leave a voicemail. Happy weekend to all #slt well done to all of us. #mySLTday

#mySLTday morning focussed on outpatient clinic with a mix of f2f and telephone contacts followed by a couple of acute ward contacts. GBM, oesophagectomy and head and neck cancer. It's rarely ever dull. Now off home for a run swiftly followed by tea and biscuits.

So many new skills in such a short amount of time. If you have any questions or worries about potentially coming to a new clinical area just get in touch! I also buy massive coffees and drink them with this guy

@EleanorGuiney @RCSLT @TessaJ_Academy is hosting a webinar from the Velindre Cancer Centre all about prehab services for brain tumour patients which may be a good place to start? The webinars I managed to attend have been really useful. Planning to catch up on a few later!

@eazy_breezy_mac @RCSLT It's a really important discussion and I am really glad to see the future workforce raise what's important to them. Helps to stop the same old same old conversation
