Congrats to Jake Dodd who won the annual SLTCC Racketball Tournament Finals, beating John Rowe in the Final. Jake adds to his Squash championship in 2022. The Plate event went to Simon Taylor over Jake Przybysz

We are running a tennis camp over the October half-term (24-28 Oct). Children of all standards aged 4-15 are welcome & we can provide tennis rackets. Cost if £22 per session & discounts provided for members and siblings. More info - bit.ly/3UsFTem

The annual Finals Day of the SLTCC club tournament will be on Sat 17 Sep from 11am. Come along to join us for the day & support fellow tennis & squash members who are competing. There will be drinks at the bar, freshly made sandwiches & cakes/snacks. Trophy presentation at 6pm

Cwtches Dog School is running a 5 week course of Hoopers on the old croquet lawn (Sat 10.30, 17 Sep-15 Oct). It's a fun sport for with a course made up of Hoops, Barrels, and Tunnels suitable for any dog. Members can use code TENNIS for £20 off booking bit.ly/3TdpvgZ

There's a new film about John McEnroe simply called "McEnroe". Featuring never-before-seen footage & told by the man himself, McEnroe recalls the epic career of one of the most explosive sporting icons ever, whose internal conflict drove him to the top & nearly broke him too.

The Pickleball beginners course is starting Mon 11 July at 1pm. Played indoors or outdoors, pickleball combines elements of badminton, tennis and table tennis. The 6 week course fee is £54 and all equipment is provided. bit.ly/3Ok0IVQ

Richard Cory is leading a session to try out the fast-growing sport of pickleball. Pickleball uses a paddle (bat) and plastic airflow ball. The session will run on Sun 15 May at 12 - 2pm and all members are welcome to come along. More info - sltcc.co.uk/events

Take a look at the new look for court 5, which has been converted into a clay court! The court surface is artificial clay and is ready to play on. A few finishing touches will be added shortly, including repainting the lines

Xmas is nearly upon us and the clubhouse will be closed between 20 Dec - 7 Jan. There will still be access to the foyer for the floodlight controls. Club play sessions will end on 19 Dec and will restart on 4 Jan. All courts are available to book and play throughout the period 🎄

Congrats to the finalists of the Squash 2021 annual tournament. John Rowe beat Ian Moody in the final.

Thanks to everyone who took part in the Croquet Doubles tournament. Angela Finch and Priscilla Sowan eventually won out 2-1 after losing the first game to David Hamilton and Margaret Twaddle

Come along to watch the American Doubles tournament and enjoy a BBQ on the bank holiday – Mon 30 Aug. The bar will be open all afternoon and the BBQ starts from 3pm. Email info@sltcc.co.uk if you plan to come so we can get an idea of how much food we need!

Happy to say courts 1 and 2 have been repainted and look beautiful (even if we are a bit biased!) The hard courts are available to play on again 🎾

Courts 1 & 2 are being pressure washed today and will then be repainted and repaired. They could be out of action for several days - club play on Wed and Thurs will go ahead but may have reduced courts available.
