I wish i could use Emacs magic git interface outside Emacs..
Martin Fowler@martinfowler
@ploeh I used to use the git command line a lot. But since I started to use Magit, I hardly ever use the CLI. Of course I’m comfortable in Emacs, so this observation isn’t good for everyone, but it did surprise me how good Magit is.

A little help is needed. Could you visit this page, please (which is a site where I organize meetings in #Ladino) and tell me what is the date and time on that page? I'd like to check if my brilliant JavaScript code shows the date in your time-zone. echar-lashon.szabgab.com

@briandfoy_perl It prints an error message in 5.34.0. We’ve got 5.16.3 on our cluster at work and it fails silently there. I wonder when it was fixed? This is the fix, which I guess puts it in 5.24 but I couldn’t find it in the release notes. github.com/Perl/perl5/com…

I have a joke in my Learning Perl class that no one ever checks the return value of print. But now someone has gone through many languages to see which ones have bugs in "Hello World" because they don't do that. Many do, but not Perl.

@OvidPerl Yeah, just like 'cd -' will take you to the previous directory. I think I just did it with 'git' without thinking and it worked.

@jmaslak I think it was important for the story that he looked like a newborn. He might've been shaved by nanobots in the fluid he was submerged in or the fluid was shunting hair growth. Why? To make harvesting electricity would be more efficient.

@LexiCrowley And now your story hit my feed, and I'm glad it did. I feared for a different end of the story, and I'm happy it did a 180 on me ❤

I love structuring and cleaning up data. Bo Pyskow from sixtus-compliance.dk talks about how they can automate it. Cool stuff.
