SLUH XC and Track

SLUH will be in Class 5 District 1 hosted by Hillsboro High School

Coach Porter is traveling with the soccer team to Argentina 🇦🇷 and Uruguay 🇺🇾

It's been a great start to the Track and Field season so far. The team stands at 120 strong, over 1/10th of the school!

Always great to see XC runners excelling in multiple corners of the school. Last weekend, we had the privilege of seeing 11 of them involved in the school's annual musical, Oliver ... including Oliver himself! Fantastic production and performances from all involved.

At Saturday's CIRCUIT Chicago High Voltage 2 mile - a race featuring many of the nation's finest runners - Jackson Miller ran 8:58.52, MO #2 all time for an indoor 2 mile. Jackson is now a double school record holder on the track & ranked top 10 nationally in the event this year!

To complete the weekend of racing, Warnicke Beatty runs 4:26.84 in the mile at Eastern Indoors. Spencer Williams runs 22.76 and 50.96 in a 200/400 double

In other racing this weekend, Preston Eash and Phineas Gilbert run 16:47 and 16:48 at the Frostbite 3 miler

Then Jackson comes back less that 90 minutes later for a 9:14 3200!

That race puts Jackson as the US #1 for the class of 2027 and #7 overall this indoor season

Jackson Miller wins the mile at the Missouri HS Elite meet in 4:08.38! A new school record!

In the 3200 at the Missouri HS Elite indoor track meet, Michael Luna runs 9:34.35. Ben Yoffie and Hendrix come back from the 800 and run 9:52 and 10:03

To start off the Missouri HS Elite meet at Mizzou, Hendrix Fyvie runs 2:03, Warnicke Beatty runs 1:58, and Ben Yoffie runs 1:57 in the 800! More races to come tonight

SLUH will have a virtual learning day tomorrow, Tuesday, January 27, because the roads immediately around campus are still in very poor condition. Students need to check their email for further details.

Because of the ongoing weather conditions, our campus will be closed tomorrow, Monday, January 26, and all classes are canceled, including all in-person before- and after-school activities. We are monitoring the situation and will be in touch on Monday about the plan for returning to campus on Tuesday.

Also in competition yesterday, junior Spencer Williams ran a 22.83/52.02 200-400 double at Washburn
