@BaptistBen316 Yes, Protestant. Hence the reason we now have gay marriage and trannies walking around.

The United States was not built on Catholicism, it was built on Protestantism. This country was supposed to be a Christian safe haven not Catholic or Orthodox.

@HoaryHead1611 @TejasRanger1836 Why are you talking like you’re living in the Elizabethan Era? And no, I’m mocking you for not being able to answer a simple question and trying to claim the Holy Spirit as your answer which we all know is moronic.

@slumbles @TejasRanger1836 No, you're mocking the promise of God and the truth of the Spirit, because you can't understand or believe that it's true. It's sad. We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

@HoaryHead1611 @TejasRanger1836 I appreciate it, but I’m mocking you, not the Holy Spirit. You’re claiming that the Holy Spirit is personally telling you which books are inspired and which books are not and that’s how you know what the proper canon of the Bible is.

@slumbles @TejasRanger1836 (out of love, I am going to warn you that you're dangerously close to blasphemy of the Spirit. You may want to think before you keep mocking Him)

@adelethelaptop Nah, the all forms of authority say it’s not true. 1. Apostolic Tradition nessecitates it’s not true. 2. The Pillar and Bulwark of truth (Magisterium) has told us it’s not true. 3. Finally, Sacred Scripture refutes it. Pointing out number 3 doesn’t mean 1 or 2 go away.

@HoaryHead1611 @TejasRanger1836 So again, you’re saying the Spirit is telling you personally which books are inspired and which books are not? What does He say exactly?

@slumbles @TejasRanger1836 We have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God. that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. He teaches all things. His sheep hear His voice. His word burns within us.

@garrettham_esq @TejasRanger1836 Agreed and a salient point. The Holy Spirit dwells within us, the Catholic Church agrees. He moves us through the gifts of faith, hope and love. But He guides His Church into truth. Move men, guide the Church.

I see this claim a lot, which is silly on its face. The Holy Spirit speaks to this individual to determine all truths, but he never speaks through his Church. He can speak to other individuals, but only insofar as they agree with him. So, any Church or individual who does not share their beliefs are clearly not indwelled by the Holy Spirit. The measuring stick is always the individual, which is the beautify of sola scriptura taken to its extreme: I'm the prophet of God, and anyone who opposes me is of Satan.

More glib sophistry from an unsaved skeptic. If you trusted in Christ for your salvation, you’d be saved. If you were saved, you’d have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. If you had the indwelling of the Spirit, the truth would dwell within you. Shaking the dust.

@TejasRanger1836 Cool. And who did the Spirit testify to?? Are you claiming the Holy Spirit testified to you personally? If not, then to who? You keep making claims you’re unable to back.

No, the “Bible” is not Jesus. I recognize that many conflate (either by ignorance or error or both) the “LOGOS”/Precarnate Second Person of the Trinity referenced in John 1 with the Bible itself (post- and pre-Incarnation) but this isn’t even a layman’s error. The First Chapter of Saint John the Revelator’s Gospel is one of the Early Revelations speaking to Trinitarian Theology that addresses, most importantly, that the Second Person of the Trinity is Divine, Eternal, of one substance with the Father, and was “operative” long before His Incarnation in the Blessed Virgin Mary. This is the point. By contrast however Scripture is clear that (1) Jesus is Truly Present the Eucharist and that (2) His Church is, quite literally, His Mystical Body. (1) Jesus Christ’s Real Presence in the Eucharist. (A) John 6 “The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying: How can this man give us his flesh to eat?  54 Then Jesus said to them: Amen, amen I say unto you: Except you eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, you shall not have life in you.  He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath everlasting life: and I will raise him up in the last day.  For my flesh is meat indeed: and my blood is drink indeed.  He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, abideth in me, and I in him.  As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father; so he that eateth me, the same also shall live by me.  This is the bread that came down from heaven. Not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead. He that eateth this bread, shall live for ever.” (B) Matt 26:26 “Take, eat; this is my body” (C) Mark 14:22-24 “this is my body . . . This is my blood of the covenant.” (D) Luke 22.19-20 “This is my body which is given for you . . . This chalice . . . is the new covenant in my blood.” (E) Also See Acts 2:42 Acts 20:7 Luke 24:13-35 1 Corinthians 10:21 1 Corinthians 11:27 1 Corinthians 11:29 (2) The One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church is the Body of Christ. Acts 9:31 The church throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria was at peace. It was being built up and walked in the fear of the Lord, and with the consolation of the holy Spirit it grew in numbers (Ekklesia Kata Holos). Acts 9:4-5 (Paul persecuted Christ by persecuting the Church). Romans 12:4-5 “we have many members . . . are one Body in Christ.” 1 Corinthians 12:12 (One body, many parts). 1 Corinthians 12:27 “Now you are the Body of Christ and individually members of it.” Ephesians 1:22-23 “for the Church, which is His Body.” Ephesians 4:1-16 (Unity in the Body) Also see: ⁃Ephesians 2:11-22, ⁃Ephesians 3:4-6 ⁃Ephesians 5:23-32 ⁃Colossians 1:18-24 #CatholicX #CatholicTwitter #RealPresence
