On March 12th, Dr Salvemini delivered the National Institute of Health (NIH) Director's Lecture in Bethesda, the highest-profile lecture program at NIH. The title of her talk was "Considering neuropathic pain states as "sphingopathies" amenable to sphingolipid-based therapies".

SLU Researcher Named 2025 Class of Senior Member of the National Academy of Inventors. Silviya Zustiak, PhD, is recognized for her patented technology related to the fabrication of hydrogel materials for drug and biotherapeutic discovery, delivery, and controlled release.

Earlier this month, Dean Jacobs, Dr. Montano, and Dr. Hoft visited the Institute of Medicine Science at the University of Tokyo. During their visit, they delivered a presentation to the research staff, showcasing the SLU School of Medicine.
