Terrible experience of trying to start business in Kolkata during TMC rule - Written by Kanchan Sarkar 👇 “I am sharing an incident involving TMC and the life risks that I faced. Perhaps I can write this today only because TMC has lost; otherwise, after writing this, they might have finished me off as well. First, let me say a little about myself. I studied at IIT. After IIT, I spent most of my life abroad. Currently, I live in the Bay Area (Silicon Valley) in America. Professionally, I am an AI researcher/scientist. I have filed several patents, and I have multiple papers and publications in top international conferences and journals. I work in research at an MNC in America, and currently hold a Senior Manager position; many PhD researchers work under me. Now coming to the main incident. As an Indian and a Bengali, I always dreamed of doing something for my country and for West Bengal. With that dream, I decided to establish an AI robotics and manufacturing company in Kolkata. It would create jobs in Bengal, and the youth of Bengal would get opportunities to work within Bengal itself. I spoke with some investors in America. They really liked my plan and agreed to invest. Some investment discussions also progressed through IIT connections. Accordingly, I finalized a piece of land beside Infosys in Rajarhat Newtown, Kolkata, to set up the manufacturing unit. Initially, I purchased a small plot, with plans to expand on a much larger scale once investments came in. The land was purchased from a Muslim owner named Abul Molla. He committed extensive fraud. He took payment for a much larger amount of land but ultimately registered far less land. Even then, all legal formalities, such as, registration, mutation/records, conversion, tax payment, were completed lawfully. After some time, problems began. The land mafia of Rajarhat and Bhangar, people associated with TMC’s Saokat Molla, fenced off the side of the land, blocked access by building walls, prevented me from entering my own property, and began demanding huge sums of money. I tried many times to resolve the issue. Investors from America kept pressuring me, asking when work would begin. I personally met Abhishek Banerjee at his residence. I also spoke with several other leaders, such as Debraj Chakraborty, husband of former Rajarhat MLA Aditi Munshi, and Saokat Molla of Bhangar. I filed reports at the police station. But nobody helped. Informally, everyone only demanded money. From the top to the bottom of TMC, everyone kept asking for money. The police also offered no help. At the police station, I was told to sit with those blocking access to the land and “settle” the matter by paying them. I appointed a lawyer to file a case. But even the lawyer became frightened. I received threats that if I filed a case, I would be murdered. In this situation, I was forced to abandon everything. I truly could not imagine that West Bengal had come to this state. Whenever investors asked me, I would avoid the truth by making excuses. I felt ashamed to speak about the condition of my own Bengal. As a Bengali, I am genuinely ashamed. This corrupt TMC party has destroyed Bengal. Everyone says IITians leave the country and do nothing for it. I tried, but I could not succeed. Perhaps there are many more Bengalis like me who wanted to do something, but could not because of the political goons in West Bengal. IITians are assets to the nation. But if the country does not provide a suitable environment, what can they do? They will go abroad, stay there, and prosper there instead. I promise that if I get my land back, I will start full-fledged operations there within one year. And if I cannot do anything, then my life will continue as it is now. I will forget everything and start my startup/company in America itself. I have great hopes from the new BJP government , that it will free Bengal from this corruption and terror and make it once again into a “Golden Bengal.” 1/2…

@Empire_hindu9 Everything good except introduction/keeping pass & fail system. Instead it should be if a student attends at least 80% class & submit assignment, s/he must pass, otherwise that's failure of teacher & teaching system.

Bus is most used public conveyance. So allot enough fund for frequent & state of the art bus service. Theft, wastage & work cheat by employees in bus operation must be punished. Commuters going to workplace must get confirmed bus seat. Free bus for well to do women not justified.

A prominent influencer, @theskindoctor13, was arrested by the Delhi Police today on a baseless and frivolous case. When the night magistrate gave him bail within 5 hours at 10 PM tonight, it was made clear by the honorable court that he did not do anything wrong. Advocate @RaviSharmaTalks ably assisted by @sidcool2302 appeared on behalf of the influencer. Sources say that the Delhi Police was pulled up by the court and asked who pressured them to carry out the arrest. The case has no legal grounds, none whatsoever. But there is more to this than what meets the eye. Why was he arrested in such haste? Who ordered his arrest? More questions will be asked and more answers will come out soon. @DelhiPolice @CPDelhi

Yesterday, #Wipro had called candidates for a walk-in interview. They had emailed many people, and around 2,000 candidates showed up. The reporting time was given till 12:30 PM, but the interviews started after 3 PM. After collecting so many CVs, they just said, "We will call you." But from what I heard, they probably won't even call anyone. If they cannot provide jobs to so many people, then why do they open such huge hiring drives? They should keep limited seats instead of making people stand for hours in such extreme heat. The whole situation was really disappointing and badly managed by Wipro.

My restaurant might get shut down by authorities. Reason - not selling Halal food For years, we’ve worked hard to build our restaurant. We are now facing ongoing harassment, nuisances outside the restaurant, and repeated complaints to the local council aimed at shutting us down and threatening to revoke our premises licence. We believe this pressure is connected to our decision not to remove our “Non-Halal” sign. Taking bribe is crime and giving bribe voluntarily is also crime. During the TMC regime, many people bribed auth for jobs like teachers etc. In this case, those who gave bribe voluntarily should also be punished as per law. This is necessary to prevent giving bribe voluntarily.

@poojaofficial5 Yes, Indrail must stop these self styled sweepers in trains. If needed increase number of sweepers but dont allow any unregistered sweeper. They are sometimes thieves & create inconvenience in passenger movement inside train.

He replied, "Priyanshu." The passenger then angrily said, "You people wait for the right moment to steal mobiles and wallets, Railways can clean the coach themselves, you leave from here. Don’t be seen here again." This incident has raised serious concerns among millions of train passengers. It is being alleged that some people enter railway coaches pretending to be cleaners or vendors and then target sleeping passengers, open bags, and phones left on charging. The most dangerous part is that they easily blend in with regular passengers and strike the moment they get an opportunity. One small moment of carelessness and your phone, wallet, or bag could disappear. Stay alert while travelling by train, keep an eye on your belongings, and immediately report any suspicious activity to railway authorities. বেসরকারি স্কুলের বিস্তার রোধ করতে পশ্চিমবঙ্গের সরকারি স্কুলগুলিতে বাংলার পাশাপাশি ইংরেজি মাধ্যমের বিকল্প চালু করা প্রয়োজন। স্বাস্থ্যসাথী, আয়ুষ্মান ভারত ইত্যাদি প্রকল্প বন্ধ করে সেই তহবিল সরকারি হাসপাতালে পর্যাপ্ত জনবল, যন্ত্রপাতি, পরিকাঠামো ও ঔষধ সরবরাহের জন্য ব্যয় করা উচিত।

আগে শোনা যেত কলকাতা ভারতের সবচেয়ে সস্তা শহর, কিন্তু সম্প্রতি দিল্লি কলকাতাকে সরিয়ে সবচেয়ে সস্তা শহর হয়ে উঠেছে। কলকাতার ব্যয়বহুল হয়ে ওঠার কারণ হতে পারে পূর্ববর্তী টিএমসি কর্মীদের দ্বারা পরিচালিত ব্যাপক তোলাবাজি ও সিন্ডিকেট রাজ।

Paint colour of govt building, road divider, bridge/footpath railing, etc must be as per international safety protocol not as per any political party's colour symbol. In last 15 yr TMC coloured these blue monotonously in West Bengal. Hope BJP will not colour all only in saffron.
