To everyone following my AuDHD/hormone journey….. MIRACLES have happened. Last Monday I was given a shot of Lupron. And am receiving estrogen daily. It is UNSETTLING, how calm I am. Haven’t yelled or broken down crying since the shot. I’m afraid to celebrate….

@ADDiane This was why I could never do them again. I need the highs and lows to feel anything normally. So if you switch that off it’s zero emotions. And now I’m diagnosed I’m not sure if I ever was depressed…just AuDHD! 🤪

Antidepressants don't make you not depressed; they make you numb [which, in some cases is extremely valid to want that]. That's my take

@dustychipura A child is what tipped the iceberg of overwhelm for me. I was somewhat coping before and for the next 10 years it was burn out after burn out until I realized I was AuDHD. The sensory overwhelm is just too much for me….the yelling and the talking all the time!

I'm curious how the experience of labour and the transition to parenthood differs for those with #ADHD and those with #AuDHD. If you're AuDHD and you've given birth, what were the biggest things you struggled with that you felt were at the intersection of your neurodivergencies?

this email came from the CEO of a charity ‘that supports autistic people’ and they expect an autistic person to be able to make a decision based off this level (lack) of detail???? like date? time? virtual/in-person? fee? length of talk? audience size? ANYTHING?

-5°C in East Galway this morning. Oscar, aka Catweasel, does what he does when the dog is annoying him; he goes outside and stays warm by perching the old roofing slate we left on top of the boiler for him. Cats will always find a heat source!

@TheJenRollins Country life is having a back up generaitor!!! We were with out power for two weeks one Christmas. All our friends in town were clueless we were living like pioneers, cooking on the wood stove! Seriously though…..even a battery back up is a good idea!

Just getting ready to have my step brother (eekkk!!) over for supper and the power went out again. Lolsob.
