ADHD isn’t just “I forgot to reply.” It’s “I saw your message, drafted multiple replies in my head, got overwhelmed, decided to come back to it later… and then it vanished from existence.”

Every time I'm 7 minutes late, I arrive like I'm smuggling a moral failure in my bag. Not because I don't care. Because ADHD turns time into wet soap and then asks you to hold your reputation with the same hands

ADHD is spending the whole day in 'waiting mode' because you have one meeting at 2pm. The entire day. Gone. 😶

was speaking to a friend that has diagnosed themselves with ADHD via the internet. i was talking about how i often sit down before putting away my groceries and get distracted and they said “how could you forget to do that though?? it’s important”

@katyakayy like my eyes read it, my brain approved it, and yet… no information was received 😭

ADHD is reading the same sentence over and over, understanding each word individually, but somehow not processing the meaning at all 💀

@Charlygotyou it’s not that I don’t care… my brain just doesn’t send reminders for people, only for random things like a song from 2012 😭

found out that the reason I dont miss people is because of ADHD 😭 it really is out of sight out of mind

@autisticadhdco as a kid it’s “they just need support” as an adult it’s “why haven’t you fixed it yet” 😶

People have empathy for ADHD when you’re a but not as an adult. As an adult people expect you to just “figure it out”
