Our Tarheels got #ReadingAcrossAmerica week off to a magical start! Our students were entertained by Literacy Magician Tommy Johns today, who not only informed them of the types of books available in the library but also got some smiles & laughs out of them! #jcpsnc #ThriveJCPS

Our Tarheels celebrated #readacrossamerica week by adopting Book Buddies! Each student was able to adopt a stuffed animal. They groomed them, got them check ups, and filled out adoption forms. They then got to pick out a brand new book to keep and read with their book buddy.

Looking for a fun fall activity? Make a book character pumpkin to add to our pumpkin patch! Transform your pumpkin into a book character, bring it to the Media Center and pick out a free new book to keep! We will vote for the top pumpkins on Halloween!
