Kick off is locked in for 1:30pm NZT / 11:30am Melbourne time. Our opponent is still to be confirmed, with Hellas set to face either Vanuatu or Bula for a place in the inaugural OFC Pro League Final.

A huge test looms for our Senior Women this Saturday as we travel to Cross Keys Reserve to take on Essendon Royals. Two of the in-form sides in the state go head-to-head, with both clubs coming off cup wins during the week. The match will also be played for the Coveny-Curcija Plate, honouring two legends of both clubs and adding even more significance to an already massive clash.

The dynamic and creative midfielder joins the club from A-League Women outfit Perth Glory. A Melbourne local, Westaway previously captained the Football Victoria Academy and began her football journey at South as a MiniRoos player, making this a special homecoming for both player and club. A tough defender, natural leader and one of the most talented young defenders in the country, Cerne arrives at Lakeside with valuable A-League Women experience and plenty of quality. He has progressed well throughout the week and is available for Tuesday’s OFC Pro League match against Bula. Jack is currently in Auckland and training with the squad. Che Gorr-Burchmore continues to recover from a back injury and was replaced in the OFC Pro League squad prior to our Auckland travel by Ethan O’Sullivan, who has featured on the bench in the past two matches. Che is expected to return in early June. It’s incredible to think that in just five months, our senior men have already played 30 competitive matches across three different competitions while representing our club and community on the international stage.
