Rice is a proven top 5 PPG fantasy WR when healthy and tied to Mahomes. If he doesn't walk, I don't give a shit who they draft in the late first.

They Chiefs had the opportunity to draft Ladd at 28 and chose not too. Chiefs historically have been poor at identifying WR talent. They aren't letting Rice walk. Don't overthink it.

Players like Ladd McConkey will be available in the 2nd round. It’s a deep class of WRs. There is elite talent at the top, and a bunch of good throughout. It’s not something to overthink.
