@JazRignall @digitalfoundry The infra red remote was utterly shite as a game controller

35 years ago, a very young @digitalfoundry gave his verdict on Commodore's CDTV. Its 6-year-old tech, poor software support, and vague multimedia/education system marketing made it feel like a risky buy at today's equivalent of £1,200. Which is probably why it sold <100k units.

@BBCPolitics @ChrisMasonBBC This constant negativity from the BBC is so disappointing - why can't we have some balance and what is the agenda here?

A grim week for Keir Starmer – but things could be about to get worse, @ChrisMasonBBC writes

So much good ‘stuff’ getting done under our Labour Government. Rarely acknowledged in our media. Share far and wide let’s do their job for them. These announcements are in last 24 hours!

Minimise. Warn. Distract.
Downing Street's three-pronged strategy to shore up Keir Starmer after potentially catastrophic May election results - by @jessicaelgot & me

@WeirdBristol Do you have any photos of it with the road still running across the top? I've crossed this bridge hundreds of times and find it fascinating that it was once the main road connection across the harbour. Hard to imagine now with the plimsoll bridge and other developments nearby.

@tomhfh unfunded promises they will never have to go through with - looks like populist nonsense

This is very cool. It’s good to see a major party focusing on one of the worst taxes on the books. Scrap stamp duty.

@TheTennisTalker @Keir_Starmer Would love to hear your fully-funded suggestions, Chris

So basically @Keir_Starmer is doing nothing for the Cost Of Living Crisis other than the Energy Price Cap saving on average £117 a year until June when it will go up again and that £117 will be wiped out.
English

@PoliticsJOE_UK What's this got to do with Keir Starmer? Must everything be shoe-horned into an anti-government angle in this way? So from now on, anything that happens anywhere will be framed as the responsibility of the govt, even if it happened years before?
English

@smith_john21431 Nice.
Bravo 👏— your family must be very proud.
Personally— I’d rather retire in USA or somewhere warmer once I’m old enough. 🇺🇸
English

@EnzoKhb @JamesHarvey2503 Ok that's nice, but try to be less judgemental over other's clothing choices and pay more attention to their words and choices. Have a great weekend :)
English

@smith_john21431 @JamesHarvey2503 When I walk into an expensive restaurant I don’t wear swim shorts order to respect the aesthetic of the restaurant.
I expect our ruling class to dress smart so they can respect the role they have and the responsibility they’re assuming.
English

@chris_altv Chris, you sound like a right wing "towed" and I'm sure you never "mean't" to vote for Kim at all :)
English

@EnzoKhb @JamesHarvey2503 KHB, why does it offend you so much? This is an honest person trying to do something good - but clothing choices etc are now a reason for personal attacks and vitriol?! Make it make sense :(
English

@smith_john21431 @JamesHarvey2503 Obviously not, but the irony is derived from her failing to dress smart in the first place
Hence, she gets photoshopped as Barney… honestly it suits her.
English

@abuseofpower @AlistairCarns Looks like a patriot to me, Jill

@steveg4470 @melanie_onn Are you losers just copying and pasting this?
English

This is Melanie Onn.
@melanie_onn
She is my MP.
She voted to take away my rights to a jury trial, and to freeze pensioners.
Make sure that she is never again voted in as MP for Great Grimsby.
