@EyekutterV The reason why I left was totally out of my control. I was pregnant at the time and my boss was going to get me an apartment but wasn't going to pay me extra to raise a baby. I had no choice but to leave with my parents. I would have stayed if I wasn't pregnant.

@smittytoo80 Well, . . . , I may have taken some liberties. But Meat Pies are definitely a North Louisiana thing.😀 Gumbo came from the Creoles in SE La. The best sausage seems to come from the Atchafalaya Basin. It's no wonder Louisianians are rotund.

@GaryBoudreaux07 Yes I do want to move back down there! I'm originally from Livingston Parish. At my age, I really need the humidity. It makes me look younger. The mosquitos don't phase me, I'm used to slapping myself. 😂 The winter is the best season there!

@smittytoo80 You don't want to live here in the summer. The heat and humidity is torcher, not to mention the insects. I love it here in the winter, especially with the gumbo and crawfish boils but the summer is brutal if you don't work in AC!
