When CTD broke into our home, siezed our phones they didn't want anyone from the house to call 15. They communicated with eachother "Dekho koi 15 pr call na kr day". Alhumdullilah, one of the family members was still able to call 15 and the record is there. My dear friend @hafizsaadriaz was abducted by the CTD a few days ago. After keeping him in illegal custody, an FIR was filed where it was alleged that he was an Al Qaeda member who was distributing banned literature in the hopes of recruiting people. In the FIR, it was alleged that he was arrested from a mosque but camera footage proves that false as saad was abducted from his house in the dead of the night. Despite the allegations being unfounded and frivolous, we observe a pattern of victim blaming in the online space so i have to mention that in the light of my personal interactions and Saad's publicly expressed rhetoric, it's evident that he thought of Al Qaeda as a terrorist organisation. Below, I'm attaching some of his publicly expressed views in regards to the mentioned banned organisation. Fabricating the location of abduction serves as enough proof for us to see how frivolous the case is. Saad's family and eon podcast (where he works) have expressed that now as the matter is in the court, they believe in the rule of law taking its course and justice to prevail. As Saad's family and organisation chose to go public with this news just now, this tweet has been made to inform you people and to play my part for a friend who has always been there for others. Saad Riaz has always fought the case of people from Kashmir to Gaza, from Afghanistan to Syria. He's an academic who uses his pen to support the oppressed and fight the war of the narratives against the empire. I would request all of you to please pray for him and his family.
لاہور میں مشہور یوٹیوب چینل @EonHoldings میں کام کرنے والے سعد ریاض @hafizsaadriaz کو اغوا کرنے کے بعد ان پر ایف آئی آر درج کی گئی ہے کہ وہ مسجد حنفیہ غوثیہ میں القاعدہ کی دعوت دے رہے تھے اور انکے پاس القاعدہ کا ممبر شپ بھی تھا، جو کہ برآمد کر لیا گیا ہے۔۔۔ ماشاءاللہ بریلوی مسلک کی مسجد میں القاعدہ کا ممبر شپ کارڈ جیب میں رکھ کر تبلیغ کرنے والے پر واقعی ایف آئی آر ہونی چاہیے۔ ایف آئی آر کا متن بنانے والے کو بھی تمغہ ملنا چاہیے۔
