@IrishCycle @modacitylife Yes, sorry, that was the intended reference but since it may not be clear to the broader Anglosphere it's been edited to refer specifically to Voorstraat in the situation you describe. Clearly still lots of beautiful wide protected bike lanes being built.

@modacitylife @smplcs I’m not sure how true that is in Utrecht — The removal of separation in the odd place in the city is mostly down to reworking the nature of some streets where car traffic was already down lowered. Separation for bicycles is still being built and upgraded in Utrecht.

Here's a map of the projects highlighted in the video with some context on the Downtown and Central Broadway cycling connections.

These projects were a key driver in doubling cycling volumes on the bridge. In 2018, the southbound protected bike lane on the Cambie Bridge was relieved pressure on an east path that could now be painted with walking and northbound cycling sides.
